Sierra Dator on New Years Day for social media picture

I’ve been thinking all about social media on the New Year.

Why? Because there are tons of social media posts on getting ready for lofty goals in the New Year and conversely letting yourself off the hook from making any big changes. These posts just remind me again and again that we are all on different paths. What’s right for you might not be right for someone else and that’s ok. I’ve concluded, whether you decide to make some New Year’s resolutions or not, it’s more about accepting where you are at and what you need. Maybe you need slow non-commitment time or maybe you need a push for inspiration. And I’m not here to tell you what’s right for you. Life’s all about finding your way.

For me, I haven’t decided yet if/what my new year is going to look like in goal form however I’ve got a few ways I want to be intentional. I’m a person who likes to move, so I know I’d like to get outdoors more, see my family on the East Coast, hit up a National Park, and spend more time with my California family. I want to continue forward with my spiritual life and being a good enough parent and spouse. While these don’t seem lofty, they are how I want to be intentional with my life. This life I love.

Business wise, I’ve always got a book on my mind, new program development for Wise Girl Workshops, and learning about how to support others through reading and education. But we’ll see! I’m also a mom, wife, daughter, friend, therapist, workshop facilitator, and coach. This means I’ve got to see how my days shake out and what I have the energy for.

Be You!

In closing, irregardless of what anyone has announced on their social media platform, remember who YOU are. You get to design your life and go at your pace, whether that’s full speed, 🐌 pace, or somewhere in between.

Cheers to YOUR New Year!
