Sierra Dator quote about Wise Girl Workshops about the surprising how and why of wise girl workshops

All the surprising how and why of Wise Girl Workshops was featured on The Group Guru Katie K. May’s podcast “Group Work”. Katie is a role model for me around running groups and businesses. So, to talk with her about Wise Girl Workshops was such a treat! You can check it out at Spotify Podcasts or Apple Podcasts on the “Group Work” podcast April 28, 2021 episode titled “Wise Girl Workshops.”

I have been nurturing and growing Wise Girl Workshops for the past 10 years. My training as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker over the last 20 years has taught me a lot about how to create successful groups. Throughout my career, I have ran several kinds of groups. These populations include kids with emotional and physical disabilities in schools, girls who had been abused and living in a residential treatment facility, women who have experienced domestic violence, people living with HIV and AIDS, and groups for teens and kids in a community clinic. All of these amazing group experiences led me to develop a passion for the art of creating a powerful group process.

Wise Girl Workshops’ Services

At Wise Girl Workshops, I offer a trained and skilled approach to helping girls and parents. To be clear, Wise Girl Workshops is not therapy. I aim to help girls and parents live their best lives through a coaching model of service. Coaching is a service accessible to people who are doing well enough in their lives and wanting to make a change. Maybe adding more coping skills, finding direction, increasing knowledge, or accessing creativity. The list is endless! Wise Girl Workshops coaching comes in many forms. They include of group workshops, individual sessions, and a motivational and inspirational blog. Also, the program offers the “Good Newsletter” as a valuable resource for parents.
